E is for Elephant
Things have been rather hectic in the Law household over the last week so there hasn't been any time to craft. I was getting worried that I wouldn't be able to get my E atc done this week...I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but just not when I'd find time. Well I finally managed to find some time yesterday. Our internet is really slow at the moment and getting worse, so between pages loading I'd paint one part then recheck the pc, then paint/stamp another bit and so on! The elephant and the paisley background stamp are Elusive Images stamps and the crackle on the E is the tanda crackle stamp. The paints I used are interference paints, H2O's and normal watercolours. The edges were distressed using grey colourbox chalk ink.
Today I have decided to have a crafty morning for myself. To that end I am going to spend the morning with our local stamping up rep, have to say I've been looking forward to this for a while the only thing that's bugging me at the moment though is that I cannot find my catalogue and I really wanted to browse though it before she gets here! Got to go and get shipshape!
Enjoy

Tanda Teaser and other things!
It's been a bit of an intersting few days..so totally behind but catching up now by burning the candle at both ends! I'll regret it in the morning!
Although planned a few weeks ago when I had no idea what was going to happen, this week's tanda teaser is totally apt...you will just have to read the forum to see what I mean...the theme is "Going round in Circles", I had actually prepared a different card, but then Wendy told me the theme for next weeks challenge and I decided to save it for that, and did this card to fit with the Craft Stamper Sketch Challenge instead. I've used Tanda stamps Retro men set 1, transport set 1 and the crackle stamp from background set 2....The crackle is excellent by the way...there are no obvious edges to it unlike other crackle stamps that I have, and I have a few, so it is brilliant for large backgrounds...I've used brusho inks as before and used the crackle stamp with bleach for the backgrounds.
....so what other things....well I thought, after more than 15 years of stamping, it was about time I had an antistatic pad so I made one using the birdy stamp from craft stamper...the muslin was coloured with silk paints and the stamped image was done in stazon and then outlined in gold gutta.
..and yet more things to share...the sun meant it was a good day for making bread!
...and the garden looked lovely too....
there must be something in the climate change thing....bluebells used to come out mid May!!!
enjoy

D is for Dog
Sorry Linda, I seem to be copying you at the moment...I'm doing elephant next week..LOL! The D was coloured with walnut inks with mica from the stamp man and the dog and bone are Tanda stamps! Distressing was done using a chalk ink, that I managed to transfer onto my versamark pad...so now I've got brown ink and soot on it...no more watermarks me things!

Tanda Teaser Watercolour!
This week it is Wendy's turn to set the Tanda Teaser and she has chosen watercolours as the theme. I love watercolours, as you will probably all know from reading this blog, and there are so many ways to use them! This card was made using le plume pens and stamps from Sir Stamp a Lot. The paper is not technically watercolour paper....it's from a pad I got in the Outlets in Swindon....there's a small papercrafting shop there selling docraft products...this pad has a red cover, and is called the Lakeland Artist Pad 270g/m2 High Quality Board. It's really nice with watercolours as it is very easy to control the colour. I find I'm using it a lot with the brusho inks too.

C is for Cat
Hi, this is my take on Linda's C alphabet challenge...like Linda I thought cat...coloured with watercolours, lakeland cat stamp used....the thick acrylic paint on the C gave a really textural effect that looked like fur...hence the c looks a bit like a tabby cat's tail!
...I've put the abc together and I'm quite pleased at how they look together so I'm hopeful that my project might just work...got to think hard for some of the letters though!
No pink yet and hopefully none to follow...only have nephews to think about...daughers are past alphabet posters..pics whatever!

Tanda Teaser - Spring into Easter
Well it's Wednesday and it's my turn to set the Tanda Teaser...bit of a no brainer for the subject, of course, seeing as it is Easter Sunday at the weekend. I've asked everyone to make something either Easter or Spring related for this week's challenge.
My card was made using stamps from the Tanda Clarice Cliff set 1. When I designed the stamps I realised that the crocus corner stamp would make a nice centre point for a card and actually makes quite a subtle cross in the centre....this then became the starting point for my card. The other crocus stamp in the set makes a lovely border and fits just nicely along the length of a DL card. To save my faffing around with a stamp positioner I got Andrew to do me custom stamps from my artwork.
The images were stamped, heat embossed and then painted in gold and purple H2O's.

B is for Baby
Well as promised, here is my second alphabet atc orignally for Chrissy Rollins swap, but I thought it would be perfect for Linda's alphabet challenge...I am now thinking I should do an atc for every letter of the alphabet and make a big poster out of them for one of my nephews...just hope I can keep up all the way through to Z!
I did have a bit of a panic the other day when I wondered if Linda would be setting these in alphabetical order...that would have kept me on my toes!
Also as promised this is actually a sneaky peak at one of the stamps in a baby set that Tanda will be launching very very soon. Andrew and I decided that the Tanda catalogue needed a bit of a boost in the baby department and to that end I have drawn some designs covering backgounds, borders and focal points...I am really excited about these new stamps as I think they will be very useful and not just for babies! Can't tell you any more than this at the moment...you will just have to keep checking the Tanda Website...all I can tell you is that the sample cards have all been made!
Oh almost forgot to say, the construction of this is the same as for my A is for Apple atc and I've used my trusty brusho inks again!

It's Wednesday so it's Tanda Teaser Day again!
Quite chuffed with myself as I have actually managed to post between teasers this week....not sure if I will be quite so prolific all the time though!
This week it was Wendy's turn to set the challenge and she has decided to do a product based challenge...namely to use vellum somewhere on your card. I have used the craft stamper sketch challenge from the March magazine and this was the first ever sketch that I attempted.
The lady is from Tanda Retro ladies 3 and the greeting is from the Tanda Clarice Set 1. The background is stamped with chandeliers in clear and glimmermisted in various shades of lilac..the flowers were sprayed in the same glimmermists. I've used a printed vellum..(docrafts I think) and a vellum card (the purple box in the top right hand corner and the scalloped oval behind the lady).
Hope you can join in with the challenge...don't worry if you don't have a blog, you can still join in on the Tanda forum!
